Multidisciplinary artist Meral Polat made waves with her 2022 debut album Ez Ki Mi where she explored her Kurdish roots. In 2025 she will release her new album Meydana Gel with themes such as resistance against oppression and the ongoing struggle for women’s rights at the heart. Incorporating influences from Turkish psychedelic rock to Nigerian Afrobeat, Meral Polat and her collaborators seek to create a sonic world that bridges different eras and cultures while remaining true to their modern sound, all the while delivering a meaningful message of love and equality.

Pietre is an energetic, chordless quartet led by bassist Alessandro Fongaro. As if recovering from an emergency break, Pietre – Italian for stones – stutters, collapses, and pushes on. Stories of love and friendship are manifested through intensity and sensitivity. Their debut album, First time (a)live, captured the energy of their very first concert, celebrating the end of lockdown. Now, with their studio album Pietre, the band continues to carve its path in European jazz, shaping a sound that is raw, urgent, and deeply expressive.
