De sleazy garagepunk van geruchtmakend koppel Tina en Alek, oftewel The Glücks, werd door muziekblog Cutting Edge omschreven als “rock ontdaan van alle ballast, puur en onversneden.” Als dat geen understatement is…! Het mini-album Barefoot Sessions walst nietsontziend over je heen als een ontembare natuurkracht. In slechts 20 minuten tijd jagen The Glücks je op het lijf met acht balorige, fuzzy splinterbommen die recht in het gezicht opblazen.

Lang verhaal kort, The Glücks zijn onontkoombaar, megacatchy en gewoon verschrikkelijk goed. Dat bewezen de twee Vlamingen afgelopen maart nog op het Junkyard Festival in WORM met een bloedstollende show. Vanavond in de V11 presenteren The Glücks samen met boekingskantoor Cloudhead en Junkyard een gloednieuwe 7″. Als dát geen reden is om de stoute schoenen weer eens aan te trekken…

The sleazy garage punk of feisty Flemish tandem Tina and Alek, aka The Glücks, was once described by music blog Cutting Edge as “rock stripped of all ballast, pure and unadulterated.” Indeed, mini-album Barefoot Sessions ruthlessly steamrolls you like an indomitable force of nature: twenty minutes of recalcitrant, fuzzy cluster bombs blowing up in yer face. Simply put, The Glücks are a rabid, high-octane and adrenalized buncha show stoppers. Last March at Junkyard Festival in WORM, their thrilling show proved to be a huge spectacle. Expect much of the same tonight.
