We probably don’t have to become the upteenth to tell you about Lucky Fonz III’s magnetic stage presence. Instead we would rather emphasize that Dutch thesp Otto Wichers is considered far more than just a balladeer with an acoustic guitar. On February 5th, Lucky Fonz will make his long-awaited return with In Je Nakie, a brand new LP that finds Wichers traversing through just about every known genre: from crooning torch songs to hip hop, (of course) his patented Dutch folk, but also electronic dance music like drum ‘n bass and happy hardcore (!).

The result is a refreshingly brutal, matter-of-fact and melancholic listen: basically, Lucky Fonz III like you’ve never heard him before. At the Wijnhaven’s bright red vessel, Lucky Fonz III will usher us into an evening of amusing anecdotes, clever poetry and his beautiful, eccentric songcraft…and likely some quirky dance moves inbetween!
