It finally seems to be happening: the debut album of J.C. Thomaz & The Missing Slippers is being released via Slovenly Recordings, and the band will celebrate it on Friday, May 29 at Rotown! Expect nothing less than pure garage rock chaos from this Rotterdam-based outfit. In addition to their all-out live shows, the band is also known for its constantly changing line-up. That’s why J.C. Thomaz is inviting all former members to join him on stage for this true Missing Slippers reunion.
Name: J.C. Thomaz & The Missing Slippers
Tag: garagerock, psychobilly, garagepunk
Song tip: “CHEAT R BAD”
For fans of: The Cramps, The Gories, The Mummies, Oblivians
Country: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Extra info: Fabio Thomaz, the band’s singer and guitarist, came up with the name based on his own situation. In the early days, he played without a fixed line-up; musicians were constantly coming and going. When he needed a name for a flyer, he decided to name the project after himself, J.C. Thomaz, and added “The Missing Slippers” as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the ever-changing group of band members.
