De bandleden van Call It Off begonnen precies zoals zoveel poppunkgrootheden: als jonge bevlogen jochies die roekeloze stunts uithalen in het skatepark en cd’s volbranden met muziek van Blink 182, Alkaline Trio en Green Day. Die bevlogenheid is door de jaren heen niet verzuurd, want vandaag de dag zijn diezelfde jochies uitgegroeid tot een van de beste poppunkbands van Europa.

Call It Off steekt niets onder stoelen of banken: de anthems van het viertal communiceren een glasheldere boodschap. Titels als ‘Scream Your Heart Out’ en nieuwste single ‘YOUNG‘ kun je dus opvatten als devies. Deze werkwijze raakt nog altijd een snaar. Miljoenen streams, indrukwekkende festivalshows op Paaspop en Groezrock, optreden met artiesten als Panic! At The Disco en New Found Glory, dat zijn slechts een paar wapenfeiten.

Call It Off is een band die al zijn bloed, zweet en tranen durft in te zetten om het heilige vuur brandende te houden. En vanavond ondervinden we dat aan den lijve!

The band members of Call It Off started more or less like most of the pop-punk greats: as a bunch of zealous kids pulling reckless stunts at the skatepark, burning heaps of cd’s with songs by luminaries like Blink 182, Alkaline Trio and Green Day. That incandescent spirit hasn’t stifled over time, because those same kids have blossomed to become one of the best pop-punk bands in Europe.

Call It Off don’t exactly beat around the bush: their blazing anthems communicate a crystal-clear message. Song-titles such as like ‘Scream Your Heart Out’ and new single ‘YOUNG’ attest to that. This simple, powerful message resonates deeply. Millions of streams, impressive festival shows at Paaspop and Groezrock, performing with artists like Panic!
